Bright Shadow’s mission is to enable people living with dementia, and those affected by it, to live well and to thrive. Established in 2009, we are experts in creative activities that are fun, meaningful, accessible and challenging.
Our weekly Canterbruy Zest group meets at Thanington Neighbourhood Resource Centre. Zest sessions are led by one of our friendly artists who are professional actors, dancers, filmmakers, directors and visual artists. Designed for people living with dementia, with memory problems as well as their family and friends.
Sessions are 2 hours in length and focus on a theme typically encompassing a range of creative activities from music, improvisation, movement and storytelling. Zest sessions are high quality, mood-boosting and invigorating which emphasise the wellbeing of participants through encouraging active participation and collaboration within the group.
